You Can’t Take It With You (1938, U.S.A.)

Hollywood greats James Stewart, Jean Arthur and Lionel Barrymore  star in this classic screwball comedy.  You Can’t Take It With You won two Academy Awards, including Frank Capra’s third Oscar for directing.  Arthur stars as Alice Sycamore, who comes from a carefree family and falls in love with Stewart.  He, on the other hand, is the grounded son of a rich, snobby family.  Despite the culture clash, the two families come together as they rediscover the simple joys of life.
