Didi Conn (Grease) stars as a showbiz child who dreams of becoming an singer, songwriter and actress.  However her father wants her to become a comedian like himself, so she tries but fails to get laughs on the stage.  She has to reconcile her own vocational dreams with her loyalty to family.
