Zathura (2005, U.S.A.)

If you loved Jumanji and it’s sequels, this is worth checking out.  In Zathura, two  brothers arrive in space while playing a game they discovered in the basement of their old house. On their journey, they are joined by a stranded astronaut  and encounter meteor showers, lizard-like aliens, an out of control robot and a spaceship battle.  Unless they finish the game and reach the planet Zathura, they could be trapped in outer space forever.
