Iron Eagle (1986, U.S.A.)

When a US jet fighter pilot is shot down and taken prisoner in the Middle East, the American government claim they are unable to do anything to secure his release. The airman’s 18-year-old son, Doug Masters (Jason Gedrick), decides to take matters into his own hands, ‘commandeering’ a F-16 fighter plane with the help of a retired Air Force colonel (Louis Gossett Jr.) and heading off on a potentially deadly mission.
