Shadrach (1998, U.S.A.)

The Dabney family is struggling to feed their teeming brood and keep beer in the icebox during the Great Depression.  However they’ve not forgotten that their run-down farm was once one of the South’s richest tobacco plantations. Still, they never expected the obligations of their ancestors to become their own-until the arrival of an aged black man. He has walked all the way from Alabama with little more than the clothes on his back, a stick in his hand, and one last wish in his heart.
