Shirley (2020, U.S.A.)

Renowned horror writer Shirley Jackson is on the precipice of writing her masterpiece.  But the arrival of newlyweds disrupts her meticulous routine.  It also heighten tensions between her and her philandering husband, which were already high.  The middle-aged couple are prone to ruthless barbs and copious afternoon cocktails.  They begin to toy mercilessly with the naive young couple at their door and Shirley uses them as inspiration for her next novel.
