Man Who Would Be King ( 1975, U.K./U.S.A.)

Sean Connery and Michael Caine star as British army officers stationed in 1880s India. They spend their time devising money-making scams. They journey into Kafiristan with the intention of setting themselves up as rulers.  However they fall foul of the local District Commissioner.  So their plan does not quite go according to plan.
