This hilarious comedy is about a party being planned by a group of enlisted men led by Lemmon, and their efforts to keep the fact a secret from an obnoxious busy-body officer Ernie Kovacs. Rooney plays a hepcap transportation sergeant who whisks an entire battalion out of Le Havre before they knew what’s happening.
