Song To Remember, A (1945, U.S.A.)

Polish patriot and composer Frédéric Chopin (Cornel Wilde) is one of the 19th century’s most famous musicians.  This film focuses on the time of his passionate affair with novelist George Sand (Merle Oberon).

Despite Chopin’s poor health, he continues performing in public.  He decides to give one last rousing concert tour across Europe that could cost him his life.

Directed by Charles Vidor and nominated for 6 Academy Awards.
