Tokyo Joe (1949, U.S.A.)

Academy Award winner Humphrey Bogart stars as a former World War II hero in the dramatic TOKYO JOE.

Bogart plays pilot Joe Barret, who returns to Tokyo years after leaving the country for personal reasons.  He had believed that his wife, Trina died in a Japanese concentration camp.  But when he learns that she is still alive.  She has remarried, but is also the mother of his seven-year-old daughter Anya, so he is desperate to win her back.

However the former Japanese Secret Service head Kimura threatens to expose Trina for making wartime propaganda broadcasts.  Kimura forces Barret to transport three Japanese war criminals, and kidnaps Anya to seal his plans.  To save his daughter, Barret challenges Kimura to a judo match with fatal consequences.
